Hannah Shakti Buhler
Hannah, originally from Germany grew up in Italy. She discovered contemporary dance in Italy at Opus Ballet in Florence where she was taking regular workshops. Driven by her wish to learn different languages she moved to Nice in France in 2002, where she started her professional training. One year later she moved to London to follow her studies at Laban Centre where she graduated in July 2006. Whenever possible, during her studies Hannah travelled across Europe to gain a taste of contemporary dance in other countries. She completed apprenticeships with Daniel Goldin at Tanztheater Munster and with William Forsyth at Ballet Frankfurt. She attended annual workshops at Impulstanz Festival in Vienna, with, among others David Zambrano, Janet Panetta and Mark Lorimer (Rosas) and in Spain with Roberto Olivan (Enclave Dance Company). In her free time Hannah loves swimming in the sea and enjoying the sun and the nature back home in Italy.
