Matthew Slater
Matt first started dancing at the age of 17 as part of his performing arts A-level, he then went on to study a BPA(hons) in contemporary dance at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Leeds. During his training Matt performed in new works created by David Massingham, Ellen Van Schuylenburch and Andile Sotiya, and in 2005 toured nationally as part of Verve Dance Company in Four Point Five choreographed by ex-Rambert dancer Glen Wilkinson. In 2005 Matt completed a post graduate diploma at London Contemporary Dance School touring nationally and internationally to France, Sweden, Denmark and Portugal as part of Edge Dance Company in work created by Siobhan Davies, Trisha Brown and Sue MacLennan. Since completing his training Matt has worked with Bedlam Dance Company on several projects including installations at the Arts Depot and Sadlers Wells and research and development for their next touring project.
