Promoter info: antipode
Antipode is an hour-long production choreographed by Filip Van Huffel and performed by four excellent young male dancers. Antipode is inspired by opposition and extremes and has produced athletic and compelling choreography, one audience member said afterwards that she “didn’t want to blink in case she missed anything”. The beautiful soundscore, performed live where possible, has been created by double bass player Joris Vanvinkenroye. Joris’ contemporary music takes inspiration from an eclectic mix of styles from Eastern European folk, tango and contemporary music genres and drives the choreography with a thrilling and captivating dynamic. Antipode presents an exhilarating evening of exciting, high-energy dance, from 4 male dancers who demonstrate excellent technical skills, and an astounding amount of physical prowess!
Technical details:
- A performance space of 11 x 11m is preferred, but can be reduced to a minimum of 8 x 8m
- A black dance floor is required
- The running time of the show is 65 minutes
