Ongoing opportunities
Open professional class in England and Belgium
When Retina is in rehearsal for a new production we open morning class to professional dancers. Class is usually from 10 to 11.30 each weekday and in either Nottingham or Antwerp.

Retina Youth Dance Company in the East Midlands
Retina Youth is for dancers from age 15 to 19 that want to gain high standard technical training, choreographic and performance experience, and the opportunity to work with professional choreographers and dancers. The group exists for dancers that are committed to hard work and are willing to push themselves to develop their skills, as well as have some fun!

Kinderen dansen in Antwerp Berchem
Creative dance for children. Weekly classes for children at Cultuurcentrum Berchem, Antwerp. Every Wednesday in school time from 13.15 to 14.15 for age 4/5, 14.20 to 15.20 for age 6/7 and 15.25 – 16.25 for age 8/9/10.
The classes focus on developing the children’s creative and physical skills within a fun environment. Yearly fee is €100.
Technique class for young dancers in Nottingham
Weekly technique classes for dancers age 14+ take place at College Street Centre, Nottingham on Mondays from 5 to 6.15pm. These classes are provided to offer a chance for dancers to improve their technical skills and embody the Retina movement style. £5 per class.
Adult technique classes in Nottingham
An opportunity suitable for professional dancers, degree level students and teachers. This open technique class presents a great opportunity to develop your own technique and work in a Retina style that is energetic, full bodied and fun. Weekly classes at College Street Centre on Mondays from 6.30 to 7.45. £5 per class.
School and community workshops in England and Belgium
Throughout the year Retina is available for teaching workshops for schools, youth and community groups. The company teach these high energy and fun workshops and usually relate the session to the current performance. The participants have an opportunity to understand the Retina movement style through a fun and intensive approach.
RAUW in England and Belgium
Retina’s participatory programme incorporates RAUW, a site specific performance event for the community. Within RAUW a venue can select the community of its choice; professional dancers, youth, seniors, integrated groups or whoever they wish. Retina will then work with the group in your venue to create a site specific performance event.
There are no minimum and maximum age, group size or experience, each project takes its own form and culminates in an exciting performance event that leads your audience through your building/environment.
